Description

Fresh off a divorce, New York Times Bestselling author J. Sterling brings you her most honest love story to date. A fresh look at the trials and tribulations of a long distance romance between two workaholics that will have you cursing and cheering them on until the very last page.

It should have just been a fling. A weekend filled with panty-melting kisses that stayed in a hotel in Boston where they belonged. But the second I boarded the plane back home, I felt a piece of me stay with him.

Cal Donovan and I shared the same ambitious personality, two workaholics who loved what we did and made no apologies for it. We also shared the same thoughts and feelings on love; it was fine, as long as it happened to other people.

But try telling that to my stupid heart. An organ I was certain was dead after my last disastrous breakup. Apparently, it wasn't dead at all. It was alive and well, beating and wanting none other than Cal. But what if he didn't want me back?

Can two workaholics who live on opposite coasts truly find love?

This is the first book I have read by this author. What a sweet romance. Enjoyed the entire cast of characters. If we could only think with our minds vs. our hearts. 😊

I've always been a fan of J. Sterling's books and though I thought none of her characters could top Jack Carter.... Dare I say I think I love Cal a little more... For me this book evokes so much emotion behind each paragraph. As you dive into this book and when you get to see Jules' raw emotions expressed through words it is like it was your heart that got broken, you're the one who couldn't cope. I love that I was so entranced by the book it brought into its world. Hearts are fickle and love can be confusing but the heart wants what it wants in the end... And a determined heart will eventually heal and love again. That is the beauty of this book for me that it sends out a positive message that though times may feel like they are weighing you down give it time and your heart will soar. I am already missing Jules and Cal's story and I need to know what happens in the next stage of their life.... Thank you for writing such a emotion provoking book reminding me not to give up on love just yet.

I have read many of this author's stories, but there is something unique and special about this one. It's like a personal journal of a couples progression into their relationship. The flow is smooth, and the romance is realistic. The H/h are likable and relatable, the reader is rooting for them to find happiness. I literally could feel their relationship growing, and it was wonderful to experience. Looking forward to more from this series.
