Description

“The perfect novel for anyone looking to dip a toe into the dark side.” - Bookie Nookie Reviews I just witnessed a mob hit. The lighter flicks like the sound of a gunshot. Smoke from his cigarette slips through the cracks of my hiding place. His dark chuckle haunts future nightmares I’ll never get to have. Please walk away. Please. The sound of a zipper...and then his voice: “Faith Jacobson. 580 Flatbush Avenue. Brooklyn.” He’s got my wallet. My driver’s license. He knows who I am. It’s over for me. He flings open the lid of the dumpster. The nearby streetlight illuminates me, and suddenly he decides I’m not dying tonight. No, I am now to become a gift... to his even deadlier brother. I just became the property of Leo Raspallo.

Interesting relationship between two people who need different things. Kinky sex, and needing approval and love. Both seem to need a therapist. Story flow was good and then got deeper and dark. Wouldn’t say the ending was what I thought would be. Four stars is the best I could do

This is one of the best romance stories I’ve ever read. The male lead is dark and cruel but also affectionate and considerate. I would highly recommend reading.

A Kitty Thomas book is always a walk on the wild side. Obviously this is no exception. You’ve got a taste of mafia, morsels of darkness, a snippet of captivity and boatloads of emotions. It will definitely keep you turning the pages
  • Nothing like a good captive romance!

I love mafia captive romances and I love Kitty’s books so this was sure to be a winner for me! I wasn’t disappointed, I enjoyed every word of this emotional rollercoaster! It’s set in December, so it’s a great holiday read! Leo and Faith are thrown together because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and although life was over for her as she knew it, she gained so much more. This story is dark, but on the lighter side and Leo is a wonderful Master in the end. Loved seeing how their relationship developed through the book and how things worked out for them.

I would not say this book was great. The ending felt rushed. She fell in love with him at the expense of her soul so to speak . I didn't like the book very much , I think it could have been better .
