Description

In a small town in northern Minnesota, Ellie Mittelstadt goes to a psychic where she receives this prediction: if she finds a man named Chris Evans, true love will follow... Only one problem: Even in the tiny town of Haralson, Minnesota, there are six Chris Evanses!
In Finding Chris Evans: Hotshot Edition, Jenna Mittelstadt has never forgotten the boy who wrote her a letter every week starting at the age of ten. But it’s been years since she stood him up on their first—and only—attempt to meet face to face. Her world fell apart that day, and she never told him why. So when her sister Ellie drags Jenna to a pancake breakfast honoring firefighters who’ve been working the Northern Minnesota wildfires, she doesn’t expect to run into a sexy, smoking-hot fireman wearing the friendship bracelet she made all those years ago.
Chris (Kit) Evans spends his summers battling fires, but there’s no fighting the instant heat between him and his childhood pen pal. He was crushed when she suddenly disappeared into thin air eight years ago… and finally meeting her seems like a miracle. Unfortunately, Jenna can’t get past the tragedy that took all the adventure out of her, while Chris can’t bear to see her drift through life another moment. So now the blaze-fighting expert must do everything he can to make Jenna catch fire…for her hopes, her dreams…and maybe even for him.

The fire season may be almost over, but sparks are about to fly…

Now's your chance to fall in love with Chris Evans, too--six different times! The Finding Chris Evans series features NYT and USA Bestselling authors Erin Nicholas, Jennifer Bernard and Erin McCarthy, and award-winning authors Lizzie Shane, Elizabeth Bemis and Jennifer Chance.

Finding Chris Evans: The Hotshot Edition is written by Jennifer Bernard. This time Ellie Mittlestadt involves her sister Jenna in the search for her Chris Evans, the man a psychic told her to find if she wanted true love. Jenna never forgot the boy she corresponded with starting at the age of ten. It might have started as a pen pal project at school, but these two continued writing for many years. When the two were to meet Jenna’s parents were killed in a car accident and her world was damaged beyond repair. She totally forgot, standing him up. Ellie forces Jenna to accompany her to a pancake breakfast honoring firefighters who worked fighting wildfires in Northern Minnesota. It helps that one of the firefighters happens to be named Chris Evans. After all, there are six of them in and around their town of Haralson, Minnesota. Instead of Ellie meeting her Chris Evans, Jenna bumps into a hot, sexy firefighter wearing the friendship bracelet she made for her pen pal many years ago. She never expected that he would turn into a sexy, smoking hot fireman. Chris (Kit) Evans might spend his summers battling wildfires, but there is no fighting the heat that ignites between him and his childhood pen pal. He was crushed when she disappeared into thin air and stood him up all those years ago. Their accidental meeting was a miracle, one they knew they had to take advantage of and see if there is any spark between them. This was a fun and entertaining story with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written, authentic and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I really enjoy reading books written by Jennifer Bernard and I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the second novella I've read in this series and I loved it! These are fun quick reads that are perfect for a quick break from reality. Ellie Mittelstadt is still on her quest to find the Chris Evans the fortune teller would turn out to be her one true love. Rousing her sister Jenna from a nice sleep to go with her to meet up with a Hotshot Team that another Chris Evans works for isn't the craziest think Ellie has done lately. Jenna grumpily goes along but is she ever thankful when one of the Hotshots turns out to be her childhood pen pal Kit. It just so happens that his real name is Chris Evans but she had always known him as Kit! They had lost touch along the way and Jenna is so excited to meet up with him again if only to explain to him what happened all those years ago when they had planned to meet. Don't miss this fun read! I highly recommend it.
