Avery and Gabriel continue their delicate push and pull. Every once in a while you get a glimpse of what Gabriel could be but not quite. He’ll never be the knight in shining armor. But sometimes, a girl doesn’t need a knight in shining armor. What she needs is a depraved deviant to protect in ways conventional society cannot. Only a broken soul can understand what another broken soul needs. They seem to have found it in each other.

The Knight by Skye Warren is a seductive romance that gives the reader a peek into the dark mysteries and betrayals of the rich and privileged. I enjoyed The Pawn, but The Knight was so much more exciting and revealing in my opinion. I devoured every new little revelation about Gabriel's past and the mystery surrounding Avery's family. The many twists and turns of this story kept me guessing at what was going to happen next and loving every minute of this book.

So many twist and turns. This story just got better and better. I love the Greek mythology in this story and what the Helen of Troy means. It's pretty cool to read about it. When I thought something would go one way... BAM it would go the other way. Well Gabriel just got so much better. Ahhhh, I really can't say anything but OMG about him! He's such a protecter and I love that his word is his bond and he doesn't lie (he may be a murderer but at least he's honest lol) Avery is still that naive little girl but she's learning. She learning about the world she lives in and what really goes on. I'm liking her better and better with each of these books. The other characters in this book are such a requirement to help the story and they all fit perfectly. Who's a friend? Who's a murderer? Who's a thief? Ahhhhh I have no idea!!! Now on to The Castle where we hopefully get some answers and some love!

I am hooked and blissfully addicted to this series! Book 1-The Pawn gave you Avery and Gabriel's setup. How their paths crossed. Her sacrifice she was willing to make to help her father and Gabriel's plan for revenge against him. Book #2- The Knight gives you the aftermath and so much more! Secrets are starting to come out. The trusted who have betrayed. The lies and history that have been covered up. Once again, Avery finds herself playing Gabriel's game and asking herself what will it cost her this time? I couldn't put this book down. As usual with Skye Warren's work, it was well written and kept me on my toes. From the twists in the plot, to those juicy love scenes that I will never get enough of. She keeps me coming back for more and that's just what I will do when book #3- The Castle is released. I would highly recommend BOTH books in this series. Keep them coming Skye!!

I read this in one day and cannot wait for the next book to come out. I'm left in suspense about what really happened to her mother and can't wait to see if Avery's relationship with Gabriel grows.
  • A true master at her craft, Ms. Warren is playing a strategic and perfectly delicious game…

The Knight By: Skye Warren A 5 Star Review by Kristie K The knight is without peer as an unmasker of attacks. His move is unusual among chess pieces…moving alternately to light and dark. A knight should always be close to where the action is, best used where the opponent’s pieces are clustered. Skye Warren continues her dark seduction with the next installment in the Endgame series. Picking up exactly where we left off at the end of The Pawn, Ms. Warren draws us right back into the tangled web of lies, deceit, and danger that envelops Tanglewood’s high society elite. The game Gabriel Miller was playing is far from over, and the secrets that destroyed the St. James family name continue to be unveiled. Just when it seems like she has no one to turn to, Avery finds her dark knight… Oh. My. God… Ms. Warren is seriously trying to kill me. If I thought The Pawn was addictive, The Knight is a new form of crack. The game continues to play out, every move strategically executed to get the desired result. The battle between titans is far from over, and new enemies lurk in dark corners and behind the faces of those we least expect. The dark desires that both Gabriel and Avery harbor simmer just beneath the surface. Every encounter is charged with an electric energy that neither understands, but it can’t be denied. When they give in, the chemistry and passion are combustible. Goodbye panties. Ms. Warren has outdone herself with this series. The plot continues to flow seamlessly, with a completely enthralling storyline that grips you by the throat and doesn’t let go. The unconfined passion between Avery and Gabriel sparks heat deep within your soul, and encourages you to question the boundaries of sex, love, and desire. The character development and writing are without a doubt some of the best I’ve seen. With another cliffhanger, and yet another massive book hangover, Ms. Warren has left me truly desperate for more. A true master at her craft, Ms. Warren is playing a strategic and perfectly delicious game…Knight takes Rook. Kristie K.
