Description

"Deliciously sexy, emotionally gripping…Hostage rocked my whole world.” ~Marni Mann, author of PRISONED

I’d never even kissed a boy the night I met Stone. The night I saw him kill. The night he spared my life. That was only the beginning.

He turns up in my car again and again, dangerous and full of raw power. “Drive,” he tells me, and I have no choice. He’s a criminal with burning green eyes, invading my life and my dreams.

The police say he’s dangerously obsessed with me, but I’m the one who can’t stop thinking about him. Maybe it’s wrong to let him touch me. Maybe it’s wrong to touch him back. Maybe these twisted dates need to stop. Except he feels like the only real thing in my world of designer labels and mansions.

So I drive us under threat, until it’s hard to remember I don’t want to be there.

Until it’s too late to turn back.

HOSTAGE is a dangerous standalone romance by New York Times bestselling authors Skye Warren and Annika Martin. It’s set in the same world as PRISONER, but can read separately!

“Fast paced and oh so addicting!" - #1 NYT bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken

I absolutely hate the way many contemporary romance writers stray off topic with pages of what I call 'mindless blurb'. They write something then spend many paragraphs, sometimes pages, on the thoughts in their characters mind. Meanwhile to me I find it extremely repetitive and quite frankly boring. I've read somewhere that theory behind that is that many authors try to write what they consider meaningful enough so that it will be highlighted. This apparently happens on other sites such as kindle and the amount of quotes that are highlighted are a kind of honor. Bragging rights in some eyes. For what ever reason I find it so annoying when I skim through pages just looking for quotation marks so I know the story is finally moving on. I don't run across this in any other kind of books. It seems to be a terrible habit of new contemporary romance writers. I hope this trend phases out soon.

It was absolutely amazing. I read prisoner first and I love the way the two stories mixed. It never lost its charm and heat. I might have gotten lost a time or two and forgot a load of laundry, yeah it’s that addicting. ♥️

Dark Romance is what you’ll get by reading this book. It was well written and I felt all the intense emotions that came with it! I hope more characters from this book get their story. I just really want more.

Loved this. Different than your average book. Definitely has a lot of darkness in it but that’s what makes it interesting. I couldn’t stop reading!
