Full disclosure. I have read and enjoyed a number of the Alex Cross mysteries but this one was a disappointment. I could not finish this book and that has never happened before. I can honestly say I am sorry I spent real money to purchase it. The plot meandered, & there were too many characters that I felt no connection to. I usually cannot wait to go to bed with one of these books but each page of this one felt like punishment. Don’t bother.

Thank you for this Alex Cross mystery-thriller. Great read, the pages turn themselves. Fast paced, well developed, well written, introduction of new currency technology and exciting twist at the end. Great job... thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This book was dragging on slowly for the first 3/4 of the book! I found myself skimming thru it til the last 150 pages when it finally held my interest! Not nearly as good as when Patterson Is the sole writer!

Very good plot. Well-written and hard to put down. The ending is unexpected and leaves you wanting more.
  • Not as good as his others

When Patterson writes solely his own book, I cannot stop reading until the end...until this one. I’m making myself finish the book and have yet to feel that electric charge that he has mastered. I am 3/4’s of the way through and could honestly close the book and not finish.

I have read many if Patterson’s books and except for a couple that were ghost written, they excellent. This one, however, was outstanding with a fast-moving story and a great ending. Congratulations. Dan
  • A fun read but beyond belief

A good beach book. Could not put it down but it is one preposterous killing after another. The story centers on Alex Cross trying to stop five different assassins who have killed the president and others in line to the presidency. It is one f those books you can’t wait to finish but at the end you think “this was one silly and unbelievable book”. There is so much going on today that would make a great basis for the book without stretching the bounds of belief. And stay tuned for sequel. . The book doesn’t resolve all the questions.
