He both terrifies and excites her, but she knows she can never trust him. The things he wants will push her to her limits and beyond. And this time, she can’t tell pretty lies and run away.

Excellent book by Kitty Thomas. Just like all her other books that I have read so far. This book is about Anton and Annette’s relationship. So what I understood, it is set up in the Pleasure House world. I have not read any books from that world yet. However all books are standalone and you can read Pretty Lies without reading the other books first (just like I did). And also they can be read in any order, which is great. With that being said I cannot wait to dive into the rest of these books as I really liked Pretty Lies. So it starts with Anton buying this huge house (mantion) with three of his friends. They are going to train women in this house and sell them as slaves, but these women will know what they getting into and they will be willing to do this. So I am assuming the rest of the Pleasure House books are in the same house and most likely about the other three friends of Anton. Annette came to the house as a trade for her sister. Anton really likes her and want her to be his pet (more then just a slave) and he is keeping her for himself. Anton is definitely a bad boy. But the way Kitty write the book I kept changing my mind about him. I couldn’t decide if he was really bad/mean person, or if he was good. Didn’t know if I like him or not and the same goes for Annette. The book is really kinky, dirty with a lots of sex, humiliation but at the same time tenderness and feelings. I really enjoyed this book and I recommend it to anyone that likes kink and hot dangerous alphas. Excellent job Kitty! I am now ready for the rest of Pleasure House books, can’t wait to see what you did with all of the other couples.

Kitty Thomas has written another MUST READ. This was kinky and hot as hell. Be prepared with a dry pair of panties on standby. First off, I know I’ve read the other books In this series and enjoyed each of them individually. It’s been quite a while so reading it was like visiting an old friend with a new story. I thought I knew what was going on, what was going to happen, what was next, and I was entirely wrong. This is the prequel to the Pleasure House World. In those three stories, which can all be read as standalone books, Anton and Annette are already a couple. This explains how the Pleasure House was started as a game four friends went from joking about one night that turned into reality. It also sheds more detail into the backgrounds of the four main male characters in the series and explores more of their behaviors. The characters are well developed and the storyline was well crafted. The Author does a great job of weaving the secondary characters into the main story in such a way that makes you eager for more in the series. There’s also more than just the usual alpha Dom/kidnapping story. You get to know Annette and how even though she’s a pretty, little, liar who is a phone sex operator. She’s only been intimate with two men in her life. She never knew her self well enough to know what her desires or needs were, because of the string of lies and fantasies she role plays over the telephone all day, she is a blank canvas for others desires. When she meets Anton, the dark, dominating, Russian at the nightclub, the chemistry is so strong it’s on her mind even with the massive hangover the next day. When Anton mistakingly kidnaps the wrong twin and Annette shows up for a trade (sister for sister) that is an offer Anton cannot turn down. We get to see the strong, fierce, willing to sacrifice herself no matter the cost loyalty Annette has and you also see the scared, unsure, woman with self-esteem issues. Throughout the story she continues to evolve as the Dom/sub relationship between the two intensifies. By the end she has found her happy place where desire, love, and strength have blossomed from her trust and submission. The submission she will only give to one man, Anton. As far as the rest of the men in the house, she stands up and tries to protect the other women even at her own peril. You also see the evolution of Anton and how his character grows from not just the domineering, controlling, intense Russian but to the man who will do anything to protect the woman he loves an cherishes. That was just an overview of the main plot, do not forget this is Kitty Thomas we are reading, so of course there are lies and deception, darkness that threatens to destroy the trust built between her Master and his kiska, twists and turns that had me holding my breath and flipping each page like a mad woman. Thank you Kitty Thomas for making sure this was available. It is a Art to be able to write this dark with understanding.

This was fascinating finding out how Anton & Annette got started. Definitely emotional roller coaster. You’re on edge one moment, happy the next, then jump to worry and wonder what’s going to happen. There was definitely a lot of heat and chemistry between them. And so much more. I loved this and couldn’t put it down (sleep? Who needs sleep!) Definitely needs to be on your must-read list!!
