One Night of Passion

Very sweet story with some laugh out loud moments.

I am really enjoying the Wicked Dukes Club series by Darcy Burke and Erica Ridley. In One Night of Passion by Erica Ridley we get the story of Thaddeus Middleton and Priscilla Weatherby. Thaddeus wants a wife, but one who wants him for him, not for who he is or what he has. Priscilla just wants to be free and independent to do her own thing. When they meet, Thaddaeus knows she is who he wants and needs. But she has different plans, even if she has to ignore what she desires. I just loved how Thaddaeus was determined and slowly brings down Priscilla’s walls. But can she give up what she always wanted for love? This story was so sweet and fun to read. It was full of witty banter and great chemistry. 4.5-stars. Happy reading.

One Night of Passion is the 3rd book in the new Wicked Dukes Club series, a joint project produced by Erica Ridley and Darcy Burke. One Night of Passion is Ridley’s work. It is an amazing story with layer upon layer of complexity. Ridley is a master at giving her characters depth and believability. She has outdone herself with this story. I loved the hero in this Thaddeus Middleton - sweet, cheerful, fun and kind hearted. “As if he felt the whisper of her breath upon his skin, Mr. Middleton abruptly lifted his head and turned in her direction. His gaze locked with hers, too far away to see the golden flecks in his dark brown eyes, but hot enough to warm her to her toes all the same.” I don’t know if Ridley is a psychiatrist as well as an author..but her insight into people and their reactions to their environment is spot on. Her stories peel back the human condition layer by layer - everyone’s longing to be loved and belong. Amazing story. I was gifted a copy of this book.

He enjoys coming to the club, has made many friends, and even found a wonderful husband for his cousin Diana. Thaddeus is a generally happy person, but is a bit lonely. He wants to marry, but he wants to marry for love. He looks in all the right places, but does not find the woman who gives him the spark he’s looking for…until, he does. Miss Priscilla Weatherby does not want to fall in love, marry, or find love. She wants to make it to her twenty-fifth birthday, inherit, and join her father in world-wide adventures. She has high hopes, a grandmother she loves, and a parrot. She will let nothing stand in the way of the future she has planned…or, will she? This is a sweet happy story with a dose of reality thrown into the romance. Thad is happy, sweet, dances with wallflowers, and wants to be loved for himself, not money. Priscilla is a dreamer. She is sweet, beautiful, and caring. The story is an easy read with a bit of adventure (even if most of it is books and dreams), some frustration for the hero, and disappointment for the heroine. This is a well-written easy to read tale that keeps the reader’s attention and keeps you hoping that Thad and Priscilla will take Grandmama’s advice. I really enjoyed this one and recommend it. Who will be the next handsome, charming, sigh-worthy patron of London’s most notorious tavern? I can’t wait to see.

Unique book by an incredible author! This story was so unexpectedly fresh and imaginative that I say it’s a must read! I’ve been reading books by this author for years, and she never fails to leave me impressed. This is the story of Thaddeus (what an awesome name!), and Priscilla (a romantic who had to find her true passion). This novel is about redefining priorities and discovering what love really means. Incredible! I voluntary reviewed an ARC and the views are my own.

This is a great love story that revolves around Priscilla, who is trying to keep a low profile until her 25th birthday when she is to come into enough money to allow her to travel to find her father and grandfather and Thad, a young man who is looking for a wife but he had no title or lands. Both are very well liked among their peers and when they meet they are attracted to each other. He wants forever and she does not. They eventually find their HEA but only after Priscilla realizes that her dreams were not what she had imagined and that Thad is the reality that she craves. The story is well written, keeps your attention and you have to admire Thad for his determination in winning Priscilla. It is a great love story, one that I would highly recommend that believe you would enjoy.
