Description

The biggest prank could be falling in love…

In this San Francisco neighborhood, a kiss at sunset means you might find your true love. Two best friends are about to find out if the legend is real.

Dylan Reyes believes the sunset kiss legend is nothing more than a tourist attraction. He's a big fan of exit plans, science and health insurance. But since the last time his best friend Charley was in the city, he hasn't stopped thinking about her naked. One night, and a realistic dream, changed everything.

When Charley Young spreads the word that Dylan has kissed a woman at sunset and is now engaged, her prank sets off a sequence of events. Her intent was to keep single women away from the hunky firefighter, but it has other, far reaching consequences.

Charley doesn't quite know how to break the news to Dylan, but he's been kissed at sunset. By her. Last time she was in the city a year ago. It was an accident. Seriously. She's not kidding.

But if the legend is true, this could be the start of something big. Like true love.

Too bad Dylan isn't a believer…

I read this and another story by this author, set in the same town. I enjoyed the humor and lightheartedness of the characters. Also enjoyed the continuity of the town myth...kissing at sunset bringing about true love.

I'm a big fan of Heatherly Bell. Her books are sweet and witty, with a little heat and a very entertaining and engaging storyline that give me all the feels. Dylan and Charley's story is a friends to lovers and can't wait to read Marco's story which is next in the series. Dylan and Charley have been friends since they were kids. Charley's been in love with Dylan for years but doesn't believe that Dylan has feelings beyond friendship for her and Dylan has shoved his feelings for Charley into the friend zone believing he isn't what she needs plus she never stays in the area because she's a traveling chef and always feels the need to travel. Charley's home this time to help her very pregnant foster sister and this time things seem different between her and Dylan but can they each let go of their fears? Coral own her sunrise Bakery and has taught Milly and Charley how to run it and when Coral died from the C-word they become part owners. But Charley was off working under other people. When Milly need her to come back she comes and help her out. Will Charley and Dylan let how they feel about it other come to a head or not. Read and found out you because you will laugh and cry along the way. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great friends to lovers romance, a sweet storyline with well thought out characters. The banter between Charley and Dylan is electric, loved how well they played off of each other. You can definitely see the dynamic of their relationship changing, which makes this a wonderful read, as in most cases friends make the best lovers, but they both have to be willing to risk their hearts and take the inevitable leap to receive the greatest gift of love. Enjoyed Dylan’s brothers and looking forward to reading more about Miracle Bay. I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received free.

When Charley and Dylan finally give into their attraction for each other it’s explosive. But they both still have some hang ups. She seems to have itchy feet big dreams and he fears commitment. I wanted to shake Milly for being so obstinate about not wanting to tell the father of her baby that she was pregnant and thinking she could handle everything on her own. Charley was pretty funny with her daddy DNA quest. It was sad to hear how her life before she lived with Coral and Milly shaped her and shook her self confidence and she’s a pretty pushy girl in this book. I wanted to shake Dylan at times too for being so cavalier about romance and pushing her away. The foods Charley created sound yummy and I wish could stop by her bistro to sample them.

Great beginning of a new series! Charley and Milly are sisters, well foster sisters. Milly is pregnant and Harley is trying to track down the father with any help from Milly. So far the search has not gone well. Dylan is the hot LT in the firehouse whose best buddies with Charley, but she’d like it to be more. The attraction between them certainly snuck up on them. Can they get past the friends zone and move into a sweet future? *Adult situations. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love the characters of Miracle Bay. They are a colorful bunch of people that may seem overdone but, it all comes from the heart. Charley is one of my favorite characters. Her need for adventure and fierce independence covers up a heart that is bruised and a soul that aches. Charley,s best friend, Dylan is her rock, her constant and her every fantasy but, she's afraid of being rejected...again. Charley and Dylan's story is a friends to lovers romance that is beautifully written. It's so well done that you feel the pain, the anguish, the desperation along with the hope, the happiness and the love. You can't help but get involved in what happens in Miracle Bay. It' not just about Charley and Dylan. You will want to help Milly. You will be concerned about Joe. You will wonder what will happen with Sean and Jessica. It is an excellent book to snuggle up with and enjoy. It has all the elements you need to make your heart beat for these characters. This was a wonderful best friend’s falling in love story. Dylan and Charley had been best friend’s since high school but it never went any further because they didn’t want to ruin the friendship that they had and Charley always seemed to to want to leave when things felt too comfortable. I loved Milly, Charley’s pregnant sister, and Marco and Joe, Dylan’s brothers. They were great side characters that helped Dylan and Charley finally realize that what they were looking for was each other. I really liked Dylan and Charley as a couple. Charley wasn’t my favorite person at the beginning but she definitely grew on me as I read the book. I liked that Milly got her happy ending too.
