Fly Me to the Moon, Vol. 1

I love mangas that revolve around love!

I found this first volume to be surprisingly good, with endearing characters and a charming beginning. Although the description made it sound like it was going to simply retread trodden grounds, there was something to the story that set it apart—something that I can’t quite place my finger on. Perhaps it’s that the arc cuts straight to the chase whereas other stories from this genre use plot contrivances to keep characters at arm’s length. This could be a great setup to explore the challenges of a serious relationship from fresh angles. I will definitely be purchasing the next volume.
