Dash a retired football player, book author and motivational speaker goes to a small town to take some time off a d visit a friend. They decided to go to the barn party and his eyes land one Amber. Amber is a book store owner and the place where he is having g his first book signing in a few weeks. But he ca t help it he pursues her. Amber has epilepsy and has a trained dog with her at all times. She doesn’t think he right for her so she continues to turn him down, but he is no quitter he continues til he wins her over. Dash turns out to be this awesome guy that loves her through her insecurities.

I absolutely loved Sweet, Sexy Heart by Melissa Foster, it is an incredible love at first sight love story. It is the ninth book in her The Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hills – Oak Falls series. Sweet, Sexy Heart is the first book that I have read by Melissa Foster and am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. I was pleased that each book is a standalone and that I did not have to have read the other books in her series to enjoy Sweet Sexy Heart. Melissa Foster showed that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put Sweet, Sexy Heart down and I loved every page. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Sweet, Sexy Heart is a love at first sight love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Sweet, Sexy Heart is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Melissa Foster did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Sweet, Sexy Heart is the story of Dash Pennington, retired professional football player, current motivational speaker and author of a new book, Capturing the Fire Within and Amber Montgomery, owner of Story Time bookstore, who was hosting the first stop of his book signing tour. Amber suffers from epilepsy and has a service dog, Reno. Amber and Dash meet when Dash arrives early in Oak Harbor for some rest and relaxation and his friend Sinclair “Sin” Vernon takes him to a jam session to meet Amber. He is taken by her before he even is introduced. After the introduction Amber disappears and heads home. Dash heads to Story Time and ends up assisting Amber in mailing out books for one of her online book clubs. Dash buys the book so that her can read himself to see what type of books Amber reads. I love that a photo of him reading the book on an airplane goes viral. Conversation between Amber and Dash flows so easily, I love that both Amber and Dash share secrets with one another that they have not shared with anyone before, especially the secrets that Dash shares about his family and Amber’s about her epilepsy. As Amber and Dash spend time together, things change between them and they both admit their true feelings for one another. I love what occurs following Amber and Dash’s first kiss, it is truly priceless. I love that Dash starts exercising with the women of Oak Harbor, and his plans for the future. My favorite part was how Dash fulfilled Amber’s teenage dreams, since teenage boys did not want to date her because of her epilepsy. I also loved what Amber and Dash did to the park for Hellie on her anniversary. It was so heartwarming. I enjoyed all the song choices that were interspersed throughout the story. I loved that Sweet, Sexy Heart is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Amber and Dash are facing that need to be resolved. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love Dash’s proposal and the ending of the love story, how both Amber and Dash change because of their love for one another and how Dash makes Amber’s dreams come true. Sweet, Sexy Heart is filled with poignant and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Sweet, Sexy Heart the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Montgomery siblings and Dash’s interactions with his siblings, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I loved all the characters in Sweet, Sexy Heart and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Sweet, Sexy Heart, who doesn’t love a love at first sight love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

I think I may have found a new book husband!! OMG!! Melissa Foster has really out done her self with this book!!! I’m sooooo in love with Dash he’s, Sweet, Sexy, and Charming. Can’t wait until the next book!?

They are opposites—he is an outgoing, larger than life retired football player and motivational speaker. She is a shy bookstore owner who has epilepsy. Can Dash coax her out of her sheltered life and can Amber get him to take a relaxing stroll with her under the stars? Definitely a romantic read!

Amber Montgomery has always dreamed of owning her own bookstore. She never wanted to leave her hometown of Oak Falls, but decides to take her sisters advice and attend college out of town. While it was out of her comfort zone, she appreciated the experience. Amber spends her time with her family, friends, and working in her beloved bookstore. Amber once dreamed of her HEA, but being diagnosed as a teen with epilepsy changed all that. After all, who’d want to willingly commit themselves to a woman with a chronic, unpredictable illness. Dash Pennington spent his childhood being the “man of the family”. Dash would do ANYTHING for his mom, sisters and brothers. When he realized he could use his athletic abilities to become a pro football player, he jumped at the opportunity. With his family set for life, Dash retires from football to write his auto biography. Before starting his book tour, Dash heads to Oak Falls to relax and spend time with his best friend. While attending an outdoor concert, Dash sees the most beautiful woman he’s ever met—only to have her run away after introductions are made. Dash sees this as a challenge and pursues Amber with everything he has. Awesomely, amazing story! Amber’s struggles with epilepsy and learning to live with her illness had her backing herself into a safety bubble of sorts. She dreamed big, but never truly LIVED for fear of another seizure. Dash was kind, caring, protective, and loving. A big cuddly teddy bear! I loved how he gently tore down the walls Amber built and helped her to live her dreams. I loved that Dash didn’t push, guilt Amber into doing things she normally wouldn’t and let it be her decision. Reno, Amber’s support dog, was an important bonus to the story! Such an enjoyable, powerful story! I can’t wait to read Sable’s story! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

If you or anyone you know has any kind of disability, I think you should definitely read this book. I think anyone who doesn't have a disability should read this book. I think Ms Foster gives true insight into what it is like to live with a disability that you cannot control. Amber has epilepsy. Most people would have no idea she has it unless she has a seizure in public. She knows what it takes to live with the disease, but she just wants to be a normal person and do normal things without everyone making a big deal. As a person who has dealt with a disability and public perception, I related to Amber in such a personal way. When she had the first seizure, I was in tears. I know what it is like to go years without any problems and then all of a sudden one happens. It upends your life. It makes you feel embarrassed. It makes you feel like an inconvenience to those around you who have to now help you through the gossip as well as the medical aspects. It adds so much stress to your life that you did not need. And that just causes more problems. It is rate to find a man who can deal with the condition you have. But to find one who can handle not having children and having to do things differently is a gem. Dash is a gem. He puts Amber first above all else. Kudos to all men who are like Dash. And Amber, do NOT let him go.

Oh my heart! Dash is what I imagine every Hallmark movie hero to be all thrown together, mashed into a big ball of goo and shaped into the best man there could be. Amber is so sweet, shy, and has a kind heart. Just about the sweetest couple there could be. Dash adores Amber and does the sweetest things- and not just for her. Amber is just as sweet as she does things in her own way. But there is a sexiness to them that you wouldn’t believe until they hit the sheets. And oh my! You’ll probably combust from the heat and love coming from them.

“Sweet, Sexy Heart” is one of the most utterly romantic books that I have ever read. Dash is the perfect boyfriend with his kind heart, thoughtful nature and infectious personality. He has won the hearts of the whole community as he helped coach a football team and assisted the local seniors with their morning stretches before their daily walks. In their eyes he was perfect, but Amber was skeptical about his happy-go-lucky attitude and thought he was too good to be true. There was a magical spark between Dash and Amber from the moment they met. Dash was smitten with Amber when he first saw her across the crowded barn at the jam session. Her smile and laughter lit up the room while her personality mesmerized all around her. Dash wasn’t one to let grass grow under his feet so he made a point of introducing himself to Amber right away. She was not impressed and seemed nervous around him. Dash knew right away she would be a tough nut to crack but he was up for the challenge. As I began reading, I fell in love with the quaint, small town, the sweetness of Amber, and the determination of her hero, Dash. Love at first sight is a magical occurrence and Dash knew the beautiful and shy Amber was to be his one true love. I loved how Dash was so positive about life and always put others first. Amber was a small town girl whose life was in balance until Dash swept into town, shaking things up while stealing her heart. Their story is full of romance, curiosity, busy days and star-filled nights. Dash and Amber are a special couple whose love story brought joy to my life and is one I will never forget.

If there is any such thing as a “perfect man”, Dash Pennington is it. He is instantly charmed by quiet and controlled Amber Montgomery, the sweet bookstore owner he meets while starting his book tour. He says and does all the right things, but Amber is very much on guard against this live-out-loud personality. It’s not that she doesn’t want to find a partner like her siblings have, but she prefers a quiet life that will help her control her epilepsy. Dash is anything but quiet! These two have so much instant chemistry, regardless of Amber’s denial. This is a pair who seems so completely opposite, but Amber has buried her sense of adventure under her understandably cautious nature. Dash is trying to bring out a bit of that spirit, while doing everyone can to keep her safe. It’s all very sweet, until it turns very spicy! Longtime fan, like me, have been waiting not altogether patiently for Amber’s story to be told. I knew it would have to be told with care and accuracy…and I think that dedication came through on every page. Melissa Foster brought to life the reality of epilepsy but never put limits on her character, outside of what the disease might naturally do. Of course, no Foster book is complete without a whole cast of secondary characters and there’s no better bunch than those irrepressible Montgomery sisters. Through love and laughter, they always had Amber’s best interests at heart…while pushing her towards this very sexy and attentive man. The dialogue is crisp, funny and real. Those love scenes between the pair are both hot and beautiful. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this book. It probably touched my heart more than any other Braden or Montgomery story…and that’s hard to do! I loved it.

I absolutely love reading these Montgomery and Braden romances by Melissa Foster. Amber and Dash were quite the surprise. This story was so fresh and unexpected and made my heart flip over with the emotions that jumped off the page. Dash is such a big personality with a big heart. Amber is a bit closed off with a medical condition that keeps her close to family. But Melissa Foster tells their story in a way that you fall in love with this couple, their families and the entire community. What a great read. I couldn’t put it down and I am left wanting for more.
