  • My first psychological thriller

I’ll be honest, I was a little hesitant to start this book because I’ve never read a psychological thriller before, but I ended up really enjoying it. While there were some parts I didn’t exactly favor it’s a good book over all. I finished it in a day. The last five chapters had me on the edge of my seat and the last three chapters made me sad for Adam. (I couldn’t stand him at first) the last chapter had my jaw on the floor.

There’s one story throughout the book but the last chapter discards everything you’re taught about the characters for the big reveal. I didn’t like the book and only finished it to see who committed the murder.

Overall this book kept my interest but I found the writing a bit repetitive. The story line has so much potential and think more captivating writing could have really elevated the story. Decent plot twists and a page turner in the sense of wondering who did it. Not a bad read I just think allot was left on the table here with a few missed opportunities but the author.

Yes, the ending was a surprise. But there was nothing good about this book. I dreaded picking it up each day and was so relieved to finish it!
