Just complaining about this book being associated with the light novel series and not the manga series.

I’ve been waiting for this series to be translated and the manga does not disappoint! My cute Yuya gets to enjoy powers and a better environment all thanks to his wonderful grandfather (R.I.P. gramps) & his great character. If you enjoy fantasy manga this a nice slice of life/ isekai manga. The fantasy aspect is split between his life in the monster world and his life in modern Japan. The balance is done exceptionally well. I also enjoy the other characters.
  • Nice shonen isekki tale

Although I haven’t read the light novel, I gave this manga 5 stars because the main character didn’t become a jerk or abuse his ‘cheat’ abilities despite being bullied and beaten up and treated badly due to being ackward/ugly. I felt like it was sort of an analogy for kids who are sort of ugly ducklings before and during puberty, and suddenly become swans without realizing it. This protagonist GOES back to high school, he doesn’t just escape. He values kindness, and although he doesn’t really know how, TRIES to be a gentleman… which is half the battle. I look forward to seeing where this story will go next.
