    I made the 'jackhammer headphones' (earbuds inside earmuff-style sound protection) and love them - they work better than all the pricey noise cancellation headphones, and are dirt-cheap. I especially love using them on airplanes to keep out engine noises while watching movies. Lots if other cost- saving projects that look quick and easy.
