This report compares the views of judges and lawyers on self-represented litigants, why such litigants self-represent and the effect of self-representation on case outcomes, as well as their opinions on the use of paralegals in family law disputes. The report concludes with a summary and analysis of the findings of the surveys and recommendations for further research.
