    I really loved this! Wow, what an amazing character Kian is. At first you think he's going to be this one dimensional character that you really can't help but hate he was so much more than that. I didn't think I was going to like Savvy either when we find out about her past relationship but I really ended up liking her too. It's a great compliment to the writing skills of Tracy Wolff to bring these characters that on the surface seem so hard to get behind become some truly deep, wondering and amazing characters. This is a great start to a new series, can't wait to see where this goes.

    Although I'm a huge Tracy Wolff fan, I must admit I was a little skeptical about this one. Shame on me. I should have know Ms. Wolff would craft a story that would pull me in and have me hooked in no time. I couldn't put this one down! Kian is suppose to be the spare prince. He's always known his twin brother was the prince that would take over the throne. He's lived his life fun and fast. Until now! When his brother is kidnapped and presumed dead he is called back to the palace to take his place as next in line to the throne. The one spot he's never wanted. Now the most wanted bachelor around he needs to fend off all the crown chasers and he has his eye on Savannah Breslin to help with that! That's when the drama really starts. A great read and definitely one I recommend. Can't wait for the next in the series.

    This is one of those books where the ending made all the difference for me. This book started out a little rough and I get why. We have twins who are in line for the throne. Garrett, the older twin is first in line and the typical play-by-the-rules man. Then we have Kian. The Spare. That's what he's called because if something happens to Garrett, then Kian gets the throne. Kian is the ultimate playboy. He gets all the luxury of being a prince without the duties. I think it's over the top when we hear so much about a mans playboy ways and I just don't enjoy that. However, I get the author needed to establish that he is the irresponsible one and show the growth in his character throughout the story. And she was right. It's probably why I loved the ending. Seeing him go from not a care in the world to his devotion to Savannah made me love this guy. Once he and Savannah met, Kian was everything I could ask for in a Hero. There was an added element of Savannah being in a secret relationship with Garrett 5 years prior that didn't really add anything to the story, so I wish that wasn't a part of it, but that's just a personal preference. The reason I didn't like it so much is because it ended up putting Garrett in a bad light and my understanding is he will get a book next. I'm hoping the author will be able to redeem him for me. Kian wasn’t expecting to fall for a waitress. But when he falls, he falls hard. Kian, also, didn’t expect his brother, heir to the throne, to go missing. And finally, Kian didn’t expect that the woman he can't pull away from was the one woman his brother gave up for his drive for the throne. To be honest, I almost didn’t finish this book. The best analogy I can give is fishing. Wolff expertly hooked me but I didn’t realize it right away and by the time I did, I was fully invested in being reeled in. I received this ARC copy of Royal Pain from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept. This is my honest and voluntary review.
