Description

Leigh Riley is three weeks away from her high school graduation when she's suddenly crushed by a truck. She may be dead, but her education is far from over. Seventeen-year-old Leigh is inducted into the School for Spirits, where she learns how to be a spirit guide for mortals.

Leigh meets Alyx, her rebel roommate who just doesn't care about the spirit guide stuff. Then Leigh develops a massive crush on an absurdly hot Archangel named Jophiel. Finally, she is assigned to a veteran instructor, Taishi Nakamura. The handsome samurai is quiet, strict and private, but Leigh is determined to crack his shell.

School For Spirits is a young adult paranormal romance. Due to some minor language, it is recommended for ages 13+.

The dictation was absolutely mesmerizing and I couldn’t peel my eyes away. I would try and stop reading as it would get late and I actually couldn’t stop. The story is so beautifully written and I cried on some parts (that’s not a common thing). Some parts made me think about my life and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. 10/10 going to recommend to a few friends.

Okay. So let me just say this be been on a bit of a dry spell from books for a while and I’ve noticed when I’m going through tough times I kinda find an escape with books and man oh man. This book is hands down going on my list of my favorites. I read the first book in three days and already started the second. I can’t wait to see what else is in store. Thank you so much for writing this amazing piece. 💙

Leigh Riley barely got a chance to live. Then she died. Her afterlife proved different than expected. A spirit named Amber greets her and introduces her to her new life as a spirit guide. As she learned to help the living, she learns about love and trust. But will she pass the tests involved? Will she find people to help her or people who drag her down? The story had an interesting premise, however, it didn’t really speak to me. I found the teenager in love storyline rather disturbing since one would hope we aspire to be our best lives after death and thus hope for the same from angels. If you read it, you might understand my cryptic comments, but it was more romance than I had hoped from the title.

…and it also made me happy. I loved this book and all the characters. I can’t remember the last time a book made me cry like this one did. I’m so far from a young adult now but l know I would have adored this book when I was a teenager. But I also think that being older and having lived a life made me appreciate some parts more than I might have when I was younger? Idk?

This was great. I loved it. All the characters were so good! I think my only thing was that Leigh didn’t really have much development or character. I wish we could’ve seen more of her and her family doe, especially the great grand father they mentioned! like they brought it up but we never got a chapter of them together and that so sad! I love this series tho and I’m so excited too read the next book!
