Jen Lammit just wanted a fresh, new start in a small town. She needed to move on from her past and thought that Hansville, Texas would be the perfect place to settle down and start over. But just like her keen observation skills got her in trouble in the past, they seem to be leading her into more trouble in this new town.
As a professional dog breeder, Jen has always been very good at spotting characteristics about dogs. She was really good at what she did and hopes to continue her passion for breeding dogs in this new town, but the more she learns about the town folk, the more they draw her in. Especially when she discovers a man who tries to commit suicide in his garage by leaving the car running. But when the Sheriff arrests the wife, someone Jen knows could never hurt a fly, Jen starts to suspect that the man was not only murdered, but it will take some time to find the real killer.
As Jen gets settled in this small town, she will start to unravel much of the grapevine and all the rumors circulating town. In just a few weeks, she’ll truly get to know a lot of people around town, including their dark pasts. And the more Jen digs, the deeper she’ll discover the truths amongst all the rumors.
