Description

Taken from Earth and used like a lab rat…

Emily was a normal law student until she was abducted by aliens. Forced to perform death defying feats by night and undergoing medical tests by day, she doesn't know how much longer she can take it. When one alien takes particular interest in her she's afraid things have gone from bad to worse. He's got wings and fangs, and he makes her heart pound. But she can't want an alien like that… can she?

He doesn't have time to rescue a human…

Oz is on Kilrym for a reason, and it's not to rescue the ethereal performer who captivates him by night. But covert ops are impossible when his mind is on the human who could be his fated mate. War is on the horizon, but what if the only way to save his people is to sacrifice Emily?

Despite the fact that they were born light years apart, they are a perfect match. But Oz is keeping secrets, and when Emily finds out the truth she may never be able to forgive him, no matter how much she needs him to survive and escape the planet alive.

Synnr's Saint kicks off the Zulir Warrior Mates action/adventure science fiction romance series. The heroines were abducted from Earth, but they're ready to fight back alongside their alien warrior mates.

  • Great Start to the Series

Emily is a slave of Apsyans being tortured with experiments by day and forced to perform death-defying acts at night. The slaves wished to escape. Oz is from another faction of Zulir who live on the planet's moon. His people are not cruel and do not hold captives. He and his crew are undercover, trying to retrieve one of their assets. He is impressed by Emily’s performance, and he determines to save her. When the escape plan goes awry, Oz and Emily stay, hiding until they can be picked up. They learn much about each other. The chemistry between Oz and Emily is electric, truly. This is an exciting story filled with adventure, danger, and sizzling romance. Great start to a new series. I received an ARC via BookSprout and am voluntarily reviewing it.
  • Slow start but worth it

I have to say when I first started this book, I thought it would be a book I could not finish. The first few chapters of the book were a little slow going. But am I glad I continued to read. Once the action started, it never stopped. The main characters were amazing. When I said slow burn, I mean it in the best way. When the MC got together, it was like an instant explosion. The strength the characters show, not just physically but emotionally is amazing. I especially liked that the male main character was secure enough to give the FMC space when she needed it, but was there for her too. I would recommend this book to read!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A hundred aliens stared up at the platform where Emily Saint stood on the ledge, all of them waiting for the moment she would fall to her death! Then she was flying through the air, reaching for the bar, flipping and landing on the opposite ledge. Her childhood gymnastics training served her well as she was forced to perform night after night. And even if she failed and fell to the ground on occasion, they cheered even louder. And if she tried to do something easier, like a cartwheel, while her sprained ankle throbbed with pain, they would grumble because they knew it was easy for her. And because they still wanted more, she continued her performance and ignored the pain. When her performance ended, they cheered wildly. Their captive animal had done well. Emily and the other Earth captives must entertain them or die. And the rest of the time, they become medical lab rats. Malsan Ozar (“Oz”) was a Synnr on a mission and had to remember not to stare at the captivating woman. The Apsyns saw anyone who wasn’t Zulir as an animal, incapable of thought or feeling, and certainly not worthy of attraction. There was no obvious difference between Apsyn and Synnr. Their differences were political and philosophical, not physical. The Zulir were a people divided. And war was coming. This is a series that will definitely keep the reader’s interest. Emily is not only a capable gymnast but a smart lawyer, skills which will serve her well in her present and future situation as she and the other humans get caught up in a political war. Because she turned out to be Oz’s mate, his distraction with her jeopardizes the mission. Grab your copy and see if everything works out despite all the twists and turns! This one won’t let you down!

Emily is among a group of humans abducted by the Zulir and taken to their planet where they are expected to perform to entertain their captors. She was a gymnast so is able to perform a trapeze act, but like everyone else she is also experimented on. Then she meets Oz and discovers that not all Zulir are the same. There’s a lot of interesting world building here and the storyline is interesting - especially the overarching story about the different Zulir philosophies. I only wish I could have felt more connected to Emily and Oz’s story. It felt as if pieces were missing here and there. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

Emily was a lawyer/gymnast that was taken from earth. She thinks it was only 6 months ago since her abduction and she is trying to figure out how to get back to earth. She runs into Oz after one of her forced performances for the aliens and a case of misunderstanding leads to some erroneous assumptions on Emily’s part. Oz is working undercover to try and stop abductions like Emily’s from occurring. He’s not looking for a mate, despite finding himself being attracted to Emily. Once the misunderstandings are taken care of Emily and Oz are now having to deal with the other effects of their bonding taking place. Oz does the typical thing where he kept a secret from Emily past the point where it made sense which gave us some avoidable angst. Thankfully Emily didn’t go too far into the drama queen area and was able to roll with it and move the story along. While there are some areas that could have been tweaked a bit, Emily and Oz make a good team. For me this was a high 3.5 stars I rounded it up because there was a bit more happening and it wasn’t all horizontal times. I received and ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

I enjoyed this new "Zulir Warrior Mates" story! It's a good science fiction story with fated mates. It's does have a slight cliffhanger getting you ready for the next book. The story is very interesting and creative. I think the narrator did a good job as well. I really love the characters. They are both intriguing and interesting. Humans are being taken. They are tested on during the day and performing at night. He is there on a mission but discovers more. The story is nicely developed with action, suspense and great twists and turns.
  • A Good Story With Some Steam

Review of Synnr’s Saint By Kate Rudolph A Good Story With Some Steam Emily Saint had trained as a gymnast when she was younger, which helped her now as she performed for a hundred aliens, doing flips and twists off a trapeze bar and more stunts on the ground. It didn’t matter if she failed a landing or injured herself or not, in fact, the aliens cheered even louder at her failures. But she noticed one particular alien looking at her with interest, unlike the rest of the aliens. Malsan Ozar, or Oz, found himself strangely drawn to Emily. He was a Synnr rather than an Apsyn, but both were Zulirs; the Synnrs lived on the moon, while the Apsyns inhabited the planet. Their differences were political and philosophical, not physical. The Apsyns were performing tests on the captive humans, which the Synnrs found reprehensible. Oz managed to sneak backstage and introduced himself to Emily just before the woman who handled her scheduling appeared. After all, she had another performance. But Oz was determined to save Emily. This sets the stage, but you’ll have to read the book to find out whether or not Oz can save Emily. And if he does, what sort of problems does he encounter? Is Emily something special or not? This book is filled with narrow escapes and lots of action. The world building is well done and the character development is also done extremely well. While reading the book, I found the start to be a little slow, but looking back at it, I don’t really know why. There is some steamy sex, but there is really a story here. So, if you like alien and human romances, this is the book for you! My Rating: 4 1/2 Stars I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I was sucked into the world from the very beginning. It's intriguing and exciting but also dangerous, suspenseful, and mysterious. The chemistry between Kil and Emily is amazing and the world-building had me picturing this in my head like a movie.

I enjoyed this story and the characters. It was a little slow moving though and it left you hanging. So basically you want to read the next story in the series, but when will it end ? Should I?
