Description

I'm burned out on love, work, and life. So when my sister suggests I spend two weeks at a Caribbean resort, I jump at the chance. My first day there, I meet him -- a sexy, mysterious Brit who won't tell me his real name but who promises me one night of incredible pleasure. And whew, does he deliver.

So maybe I do a little snooping. Maybe I even steal his wallet to find out his name. What? He won't tell me, and my brain needs to know. But who is Richard Hunter?

When morning comes, he's gone. Except…he comes back.

For me. For more. For two weeks, we escape from our lives and our everyday problems. Then we're supposed to say goodbye, but it's getting harder and harder to walk away. And when my sister tells me Richard is her husband's friend and a multimillionaire… things get really interesting.

One Hot Escape is the fourth book in the Hot Brits series of romantic comedies by Anna Durand, author of the bestselling Hot Scots series. The first three Hot Brits books are coming to Apple Books in October!

Maddie travels a lot for her job as a epidemiologist and is feeling burned out so her sister and brother-in-law booked her a 2 week stay at a Caribbean resort. She meets a handsome stranger on the beach and they agree to having sex but not exchanging names. Richard is a Brit who owns a publishing company and is the Caribbean to sign a Nobel laureate author to a contract that his company desperately needs. After their night together Richard leaves but they reconnect and agree to get to know each other better. Will Richard be able to sign the reclusive author to a contract and save his company? Will Richard and Maddie’s affair lead to a more permanent relationship? I enjoyed this fun story where 2 strangers had an instantaneous physical connection that developed into more as they spent more time together. Maddie’s sister’s connection to Richard added a fun part to the story. Everything happened very quickly and the ending was a perfect conclusion to their story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
