An Unexpected Call
After finding a lost orphaned puppy in her yard in Snow Falls, Alaska, Sarah Garland is happy for the new companion and something to love. Adding to the excitement, is an unexpected call from her publisher in Los Angeles, who wants Sarah to come into the office immediately and sign a major movie deal for all her recent books.
A Twist of Fate
But when Sarah, best friend Amanda, and their new puppy Mittens set off on the road for Los Angeles for a girl's trip coupled with the production team meeting, they experience a flat tire which threatens to derail their plans. Especially after a kind man, who offers to help them in their predicament, is involved in a drive-by shooting, right in front of the group.
A Dark Mystery
As Sarah dives into the mystery of the shooting far from home, with a local Sheriff attempting to drive her out of town, the mind of a twisted killer begins to work on Sarah's emotions. Is Sarah safe from her own shadow?
