  • Great Concept! Poor Execution!

I heard an interview with the author about this book on NPR, and thought I'd check it out. Unfortunately, the 'preview' provided by the Apple store only gives you the table of contents and the introduction. Pay close attention to the table of contents. Note especially that each chapter typically has three or four pages. Unless you're very knowledgeable about these heroes, you'd better hope your kids don't ask too many questions, as there are VERY few details. The "chapters" consist of maybe 10 or 12 sentences about each. Had I been given at least one chapter beyond the author's introduction, I'd have taken a pass. That's what I'd recommend to others considering purchasing this book.
