Description

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • The second novel in Anne Rice's hugely ambitious, moving, and masterful portrayal of the life of Christ, following Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt.

It’s a winter of no rain, endless dust, and talk of trouble in Judea. All who know and love Jesus find themselves waiting for some sign of the path he will eventually take. After his baptism, he is at last ready to confront his destiny. At the wedding at Cana, he takes water and transforms it into red wine.  Thus, he’s recognized as the anointed one and called by God the Father to begin a ministry that will transform an unsuspecting world.

Having read each of these books five or six times one can only conclude that the books were deeply enjoyed. I feel the series should be a trilogy which culmunnates in Christs death. I know that believers everywhere are aware on the actual ending but I personally want to read Anne Rices descriptive version. Ms Rice brings the bible alive in a way no other writer does. When reading her two books I can feel the dry air, smell the food cooking on the braziers, I feel like I can just walk into those times and get joyfully lost. I feel like I know Joseph, James, Yeshua, The boy John, Elizabeth I don,t want to loose my friends and so I beseech you, Anne, please finish this series. thank you.

This an amazing account of what could have occurred. While it is fiction, it is amazingly accurate in the sense of historic accounts. Anne Rice has brought her eloquent style in an inspirational way. This is a great read!
