This brief study attempts to give a general overview of the Palestinian issue through a historical narrative that will, hopefully, help the reader to comprehend the overall issue and its interlinked factors. The issue may have conveniently been studied topically, (the land, the people, the Zionist project, resistance etc.) but, while generally beneficiary, this approach is problematic in this, and similar, abbreviated studies. It may adequately address each topic, but, by its very nature, can not interlink them in one sequence.
The study addresses the need of those who look for a bird's-eye-view of the Palestinian issue. Thus, it is more of a compendium or, so to speak, a “pocket book” that caters for the needs of numerous sectors who have no time for detailed and specialised studies.
