Description

USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa brings an enemies-to-lovers romance where the billionaire grump can’t help but fall for Ms. Sunshine.
I never thought I’d be the proud owner of a quaint small-town bookstore, but life has a funny way of surprising us.
With my virtual BFF’s encouragement to seize the day and follow my heart.
I say goodbye to my corporate job and say hello to my new adventure.
Until I meet the town’s grumpy billionaire, Huxley Spearman.
He’s every woman’s dream.
Tall, devastatingly handsome…
But annoyingly arrogant.

And if making a new enemy isn’t enough, there’s more:
My long-lost Mother might be alive. This bookstore is the money pit. My checking account is in shambles. My online friend wants to be more than my virtual crush. And, somehow, I‘m falling for two different men.
Can love truly grow from a virtual connection? Or will a rough-around-the-edges man steal my heart?
This is a heartwarming tale of love, second chances, and a twist of the unexpected. In this spiritual successor to “You Got Mail” and “Pillow Talk.”

Claudia Burgoa has done it again! I absolutely loved Meant for Me; it is an incredible enemies to lovers love story. It is the sixth book in her Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series. Meant for Me is my favorite book in the series, and I am looking forward to reading the final books in the series. Claudia Burgoa continues to show that she is an amazing storyteller and has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love that she continues to write the stories that I love to read. I love all the characters in Meant for Me, they feel like family! Meant for Me filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, it was impossible to put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I love how Claudia Burgoa always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy men. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing aloud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Meant for Me is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments that I have come to love and expect in Claudia Burgoa love story, and she did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Meant for Me is an enemies to lovers love story between Huxley Spearman, and Enid Whitlock. Enid learns of the recent death of her maternal grandmother, Therese Rosenfield and that she has inherited Therese’s cottage and her bookstore, Whimsy and Wonder Books in Paradise Bay, her brother Dan inherited cash from Therese. Enid did not know of Therese’s existence since her mother died when she was a child. Enid decides to quit her job in New York and move into her grandmother’s cottage. While she is unpacking her belongings at the cottage, Lysander Spearman approaches Enid and reaches out to his brothers to help her move her belongings into the cottage. Huxley and Enid meet when he shows up to help her move in and then return her rental van to San Francisco with Benedict Farrow. Huxley had reached out to Therese about purchasing the bookstore and giving her a downpayment, but Therese did not sign the contract prior to her death. Huxley learns about her passing from Ben during their trip. Enid and Huxley are both gamers and have been chatting with one another anonymously as MythicalReader33 and Anonimouse for years. I love how Enid as MythicalReader33 reveals things to Anonimouse without knowing that it is Huxley, and he soon realizes that Enid is MysticalReader33. My favorite part of Meant for Me are the chat sessions between MythicalReader33 and Anonimouse, and the text threads between Enid and Huxley. I love that Enid bears her soul and fears to each of them. Enid is looking for contractors to help with repairs to the dilapidated bookstore and discovers letters that her mother sent Therese. The letters reveal secrets about her mother, Agnes, and Agnes’s relationship with Enid’s father. As Enid and Huxley spend time together working on the bookstore renovations and design, and deciding how Enid will pay Huxley back things change between them. Enid does not have a great relationship with her father and brother and confronts them with the secrets that she has discovered. Her father finally reveals what really happened with her mother all those years ago. I love the chemistry between Enid and Huxley. I love that Enid is torn that that has feelings for two different men, when it is really Huxley. Huxley knows he must tell Enid the truth before he can have a relationship with her but is concerned about her reaction and losing her. I love everything that Huxley and the Spearmans do to help Enid with the renovations and making her dreams come true. I love Enid’s reaction when Huxley finally tells her the truth, and how they both admit their true feelings for each other. I love Huxley’s proposal and the location of the proposal. I love all the hints that were revealed about the next story. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Meant for Me, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Spearman family, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Spearman siblings, especially their teasing that made me laugh. I love how Cory embraces Enid, even before she knows Huxley’s feelings for her. I loved all the characters in Meant for Me, it felt like a family reunion and catching up with the other Spearmans and the new little Spearmans. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Meant for Me, who does not love a enemies to lovers love story that turns into true love? Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

It is great to be back in Claudia Burgoa’s wonderful “Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers” world again for another amazing romance novel and another amazing Spearman brother and an equally amazing romance interest. Huxley Spearman keeps himself busy with work and when not working, he is chatting it up with an online friend, MythicalReader33, his virtual bestie. They are in different time zones, but hopefully they will meet in person one day. Enid Whitlock inherits a bookstore and home from her maternal grandmother, whom she had not seen in years. Her mother had passed away when she was younger, and her single dad raised her and her brother. Enid was excited to hear she inherited a bookstore and a home, so she quit her corporate job in New York and went to Paradise Bay for a new venture and beginning. Except both the bookstore and cottage have seen better days and tt will be expensive to renovate the bookstore to how she envisions it to be, but she is determined to make it happen. Huxley had his own plans for the bookstore and put a deposit down to buy it. He was not aware of Mrs. Rosenfield’s passing or that she left the store to her granddaughter. He called his lawyer first, then went straight to the source, Enid, to tell her the bookstore was his, but he got nowhere with either. Adding insult to injury, his brothers and sister are her welcoming committee in to Paradise Bay and help her move her belongings into her new home. Despite everything going on with the bookstore, he still felt attracted to Enid, an attraction he felt the moment he laid eyes on her. When she found out about his deposit for the store, she still would not budge in selling it, but find a way to pay him back. I loved these two, both had strong personalities, opposites in some ways and alike in others. The chemistry between them was smoking, and the back-and-forth banter was like foreplay. Then Huxley puts the pieces together and realizes who she is, but holds back from telling her until he finds a way without blowing it. Enid is also learning things about her family, starting with her mother, and not everything is as she remembered it to be. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautifully plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, some twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.  🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Stephanie Németh-Parker and Chris Brinkley were the perfect cast to bring these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. Brinkley’s Huxley was spot on, from the perfect grump to his caring and excited side. Németh-Park nailed it as Enid, grasping every side of her personality from her determination to her vulnerabilities. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters, too.  They set the perfect tone for each story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

The shop around the corner… You’ve got mail…this is a riff on these two stories. Enid inherits a bookstore, but for years, she’s had an online pen pal, Anonimouse. She has a great digital relationship with her online dude. Huxley gets off to a bad start with Enid and he’s keeping a secret from her (fear of rejection). Enid is torn between Hux and her online buddy. Recommend. Cuz Hux really grows on a gal.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book 6 in a series and it was so much fun. If you love texting friends, secret identities and a good frenemy romance then this is an awesome book and you will love it. This story includes some insta-connection between the youngest Spearman brother, Huxley and Enid, who is new in town because she has inherited her grandmother's home and her business. While Hux feels an instant connection they also start out as enemies as he is in the process of buying her grandmothers business when she died. The first 6 chapters of the book start out in a really awesome way with text messages. Obviously, Enid is MythicalReader33 and she has an online buddy that she has been chatting with, Anonimouse. Their conversations were so much fun and totally drew me into this story. Enid and Hux are adversaries in this book despite an attraction on both sides. If you love frenemy type of romance then you will adore this book. This story is not just about romance, starting over but its also about families and despite being imperfect, you still love them and are there for them. Hux is the baby in his family. But he is also a business owner. He wants to buy the town bookstore, but things get complicated and he doesn't want to admit his mess-up to his older brothers. Enid is the youngest in her family too, but they also put a lot of pressure on her and warn her all the time about messing up. I loved how she fights for her legacy and the life that she wants to live, and I loved the way she made her dad listen to her. If you love insta-love/lust/connection, flirty text messages and a frenemy story, then you will love this book. I loved how this book is not just about love as in romance but also love for a town, and the complicated family members that love each other.

Every visit to Paradise Bay is a lot of fun. The rough start that Huxley and Enid had made the ending that much better. These two are so perfect for each other. I will be impatiently waiting to find out what's going to happen with Lysander!!!

Claudia continues to give us amazing, funny and entertaining stories. Huxley and Enid are full of banter, sass and chemistry! I love the way Claudia wrote this book…the text conversations, hidden identity, enemies to lovers…you will get all the feels, lots of laughs and pure joy when reading this amazing love story. The story revolves around a books store which made me love this story so much. Enid has her work cut out for her but she is determined, strong and not afraid to put in hard work. Huxley is a a bit grumpy and determined to make a business transaction complete. He runs into an issue…but that issue becomes a challenge…named Enid. I adore this story and highly recommend!!
