Brock Skinner and his wife Maude always took Grant Bell for a harmless, if slightly eccentric, regular at their winery in Hazard, Kentucky. They enlist Brock’s brother-in-law, Marcel, to help put the pieces together, and the three of them begin colliding with those wrapped up in the affair, including a retired FBI agent, a pastor and her daughter, and the owner of what might be the best gourmet steakhouse in Kentucky, right off the highway, in the middle of nowhere. Brock’s relentless pursuit of the truth takes him to Ohio, West Virginia, and Arkansas to right the wrongs that an incident, decades ago, put into motion.
