    5 STARS!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great story!!! Intense with edgy suspense! Characters were well developed. From Elvis Cole, Joe Pike...Jon Stone was new to me, but very valuable as a key player. Would like to read more of him. Maggie and Scott James added to the making of this iBook as, also, such a page turner mystery/thriller! I had read The Suspect first before this story. So, I already met and enjoyed this team of K-9 German Shepherd, Maggie and handler, Scott James! Am looking forward to reading more by Robert Crais! You are a fantastic author/writer!!! These books don’t have to be read in numerical order. Probably, would be more ideal to do so. But, each is and can be a stand-alone too. Which, I am grateful...as I was introduced to one that was on sale. Robert—you are so worth the bigger price amount anytime!!! 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰

    One of the best books I've read in a long time! Loved all the twists and turns. I bought this at a discount since I've enjoyed other Cole novels but also b/c of the description involving Maggie the dog & it more than lived up to its promise!
