I didn’t like the ending at all. You are invested and then, bam! A terrible ending and big let down is thrown at you. I wish I never even started the first book. The series finale, could have been better, far better.

I don’t know how I feel about this last book in the Ena of Ilbrea series. It was a little slow in the beginning and lagged a bit in the middle for me but it picked up a bit towards the end. Ena kind of got on my nerves in this one too. For all her vows of vengeance for Finn and protecting Liam she would always second guess herself. So she didn’t exactly come off as confident as she had seemed to grow in the prior books. Her problem solving skills seemed to lean towards ripping her bodice off and getting hot and heavy with Liam to calm her nerves. I was like “Simma down, girl!” But in the end I felt like I was left hanging a bit. Overall it was a great series although the ending leaves you wanting more. I look forward to continuing the journey with the Guild of Ilbrea series.
