    Illumina was such an awesome character. She was just what Dame needed in his life. I enjoyed the story and was happy with the ending I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    I hadn’t read any of the other books in this series but this was great as a stand-alone. There were a few things that I thought I was missing background on. Illumina was on the run and went to the one place she thought she would be safe. One thing she didn’t factor in was some bad parts of human nature. Dale didn’t believe her story but saw someone in need. Sometimes you need help and can’t always go it alone. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    I have r e ad this author before and enjoyed those books but this one did not hit the mark for me. Sometimes I am a mood reader and maybe that's hit. Lots of great plot though. Quick on steam and tension. It's not bad. Pretty sure it's a me problem. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    This is a fantastic story! I couldn't put it down. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. Dale is a Cyborg who runs a secret chop shop. he has a slight problem with the spaceship that they have built. Illumina Smith comes looking for a job but her history has a lot of holes in it. Dale hires her but he knows that he needs to find out more about her. Illumina has been on the run for a while now. Her bonded mate cut off her wings and now is trying to kill her. She knows that she needs to keep moving but hopefully this secret place will give her time to recover some more. Dale and Illumina are drawn to her. When he discovers her secret, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Will they find a way to happiness together?     Illumina is on the run from her abusive/murderous ex. When she finds a clandestine job in a hidden location she thinks it will be the perfect hiding spot. Dale Homme, the cyborg owner of the ship building business, instantly knows Illumina is lying but he also knows she’s in trouble. As an ex Cy Ops member he is highly qualified and immediately wants to protect her. Illumina is scared to trust at first but learns to believe in Dale.
