Description

My fated mate is the heir to the Hunters who killed my family. Never once did I imagine finding my mate to be a newcomer to the Ridge and heir of my natural-born enemy. Nova’s just now learning the truth about her shifter father after living among humans. The instant my eyes locked with hers, I knew she was mine. Mine to worship. Mine to protect. My desperate need to protect and claim her can’t change the cruel twist of fate that she comes from a long lineage of Hunters on her mother’s side. We hate each other - even if I want to tear her clothes off, making her mine. Fate is cruel because I’ll go feral without her.

Nova is going to Black Forest Ridge to find her paternal grandmother. After her mother died she found a letter from her father, who abandoned them, with directions on how to find his mother. But when she goes through the wards protecting the town, it causes her car to break down. With no cell service, she has no other choice but to walk into town. When Rhett, the town sheriff and protector, gets a call from the local horse shifter telling him there is a hybrid trespassing on his property. He knows he better get there fast before Henry takes matters into his own hands. When he first sees Nova, he knows she is his mate. But seeing how it’s obvious she doesn’t know that shifters exist, he figures he better take her into custody until he figures out how she got through the wards and what she is doing in town. These two start out their relationship with a bang, as in they both hate each other! Things go down hill from there for a while. As Nova gets to know her grandmother and finds out her family history, things start to get exciting. Half the town wants her dead and the other half wants her run out of town! A great book with lots of action and humor! Don’t miss it!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
