Werewolf Fever

Liam is sent by his Alpha, Rafe Maccon of the Macconwood Pack, to deliver his vote for the High Alpha. The High Alpha will rule over all of the werewolf packs in the world to create a stable influence and help guide struggling packs. Liam is honored by the trust his alpha has put in him. He flies to Texas to the Zapata Pack where the elections are being held. Mabel Ann is the daughter of the pack beta. She has never been tall and slim like most of the other she-wolves. Being short and a little chubby all her life she has closed herself off to others except for her one close friend. When Liam first meets Mabel Ann he is shocked when he realizes she is his mate. Unfortunately the first words out of his mouth are inappropriate. Mabel Ann takes them as a slight to her weight and stomps off. How is Liam going to convince her that he is happy she is his mate when she won’t even talk to him? But when danger comes calling they will have to depend on each other to survive! Loved the book!. With the defeat of the Curse of Natalis, werewolves the world over were out of control. Now they did not have to wait for the full moon to turn into wolves. Due to this the different packs now that they were under the Hounds of God, needed leadership so they were using the game chat system of Wolfmoon to speak to each other. They are to vote on a High Alpha. As each pack is to send a representative for the vote and Rafe, Alpha of the largest North American pack’s mate was pregnant again, Rafe is going to send Liam. Outside of the Macconwood pack (Rafe’s), there are small packs. One of which in the western US, that had splintered from Macconwood 100 years ago, the Zapata pack, (south western Texas) lived Mabel Ann. At 26, she was being called in to submit to the pack for a ‘sniff and mate.’ She likes large handbags but can never find her phone in it, because she likes to carry her ereader, a few novels and a bunch of other stuff in there. Mail or notes she didn’t want to read. Mabel Ann has been having trouble with her wolf lately, and it is here, in her pack that the representatives of all the packs will come to vote. Her past in her pack is interesting. Some of it upset me. Rafe’s pups are adorable, yet a little scary in what they get into. They loved to play with Liam. Rafaella, the female pup, makes a prediction when she says goodbye to Liam. The whole pupcake thing is just sooo cute! The pups’s mother (a normal) warns him about reading that if you deny fate’s mate, then you get The Fever. I enjoyed that part of the book. The book was good. Since the hotel was booked and because of his pack, Liam was to stay with the locals. The Macconwood pack lands were the Jersey Shore. He can speak a few languages and often acted as translator for the pack, besides being the pack guard’s nerd. Mabel Ann’s (MA) stepmom is always going on that MA should lose weight if she wants a mate. That upsets me. Her father makes me wanna smack him upside his head for listening to his mate. MA is thinking she needs to move out because her stepmom must be threatened by her. Poor MA, I feel for her. Misunderstandings abound. A pretty nice read. I enjoyed it. Can’t believe all the Macconwood wolfs have mates now! Loved reading all About this wolf shifters and their mates. Each story by Gorri get better and more imaginative than the last. Hope this isn’t the last we hear from the Macconwood pack!

This is Book 8 of The Macconwood Pack Series story for Liam McAllister and Mabel Ann Williams. The danger is a mystery and what do these two do something better for them but put a bigger target on them. I loved how strong Mabel Ann is and how she makes Liam work for it.
