What a ride takes place in An Aria for Nick. This book was better than I expected. It had a rather a slow start, but it gets going in a hurry. I like Nick and his protectiveness and with his vulnerabilities. He was by far my favorite character. Maybe because he really seems to be the focus..not the girl. I really liked that. In his flashbacks, we get to see what makes Nick click and do the things he does. The years missing in Aria's life aren't felt so raw and personal. There were many surprises, twists, and turns in this one to keep the reader guessing till the very end. The story is very intricate and intriguing. I love the view into the " smart stuff." The suspense in this novel had me reading it while cooking my chicken for dinner! I didn't want to put it down. I didn't until late at night when I had finished. I read a Melody for James, but I really feel this book is a much better one. I just feel like two words sums this book up, " Well played!" Highly recommend! I received this book from the author for my honest opinion which I gave given.

Although "An Aria for Nick" is the second book in her Song of Suspense series, this novel can be astand alone book. Aria Suarez and Nick Williams have been in love since high school. However, Nick does not feel worthy of Aria's love since he comes from an abusive situation as opposed to Aria's privileged upbringing. He joins the Army after graduates from high school, and Aria is planning a career as a gifted concert pianist. Aria looks forward to the letters that Nick writes to her and is devastated when she is told that he has died in action. After a tragic incident, Aria can no longer pursue her dreams of becoming a concert pianist and turns her brilliant mind to achieving a PhD in nuclear physics. When she discovers a sinister plot to use her work for nefarious purposes, she notifies the government and meets the agent, a man who reportedly died 10 years ago and who is sent to quietly end her investigation. When her life is threatened, she and the Nick run for their lives as they try to determine why they are being threatened and who is involved in the conspiracy. Hallee's characters are believable and evoke deep emotion. The characters strong Christian faith is very apparent without being preachy. The action packed suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat. The romance scenes were powerful and incredibly moving without being explicit. This book brought me to tears, and I could not put this book down. I kept rereading parts over and over again, and did not want the story to end. I highly recommend not only this book, but all of Hallee's novels. I received this book from bookfun.org in return for my honest opinion.

“The only man that can save her has been dead for a decade.” With a tag line like that, how can you not be drawn to this book? Hallee Bridgeman never fails to delight her readers. An Aria for Nick, the second book in her Song of Suspense series, showcases the vibrancy of Hallee’s descriptive writing. From the very beginning, I was rooting for Aria and Nick to overcome their differences and find a way to make things work. Just when all should be well, tragedy strikes. Aria is forced by circumstances to set aside her hopes and dreams in exchange for an entirely new life. Having stumbled upon a plot of nuclear proportions, Aria seeks help to stop the plotting before it’s too late. She never expects help to come in the form of a man she has long since thought dead. Is it too late for second chances? True to form, Hallee skillfully weaves fiction and reality together to create characters the reader could expect to run in to at the local coffee shop. Mixing romance, Christian morals, and suspense in a story of redemption, you won’t want to stop reading.
