This report surveys judges' experiences with and perceptions of self-represented litigants, their views of self-represented litigants’ difficulties with the court system and the case outcomes for self-represented litigants, as well as their views on a number of different means by which the systemic challenges posed by self-represented litigants might be addressed. This report is a companion to our 2012 report on the views of Alberta lawyers.
