This paper provides a literature review regarding emerging trends, issues and best practices in brief services models in family law, as well as an environmental survey identifying agencies and organizations in Alberta that provide brief services in family law. The paper concludes with recommendations regarding best practices in the provision of brief legal services in family law matters.
