Description

Nothing is more awkward than waking up next to a woman whose name you can't remember...

Navy SEAL Trick Novak knows he needs to find a better cure for his insomnia, but a warm body and a pretty smile worked just fine until he met Gaby Ellis—his latest conquest's roommate. Now he's not sleeping, and he's definitely not getting laid, but that just means he's got more time to plot ways to win over the beautiful and stubborn kindergarten teacher.

Except maybe falling in love with one who'd rather not know yours.

This book is about Patrick "Trick" Novak and Gaby Ellis. She is the roommate to the girl he spent the night with and they met when he was doing the walk of shame. Later he asked her out and she agreed with one condition, no pressure for sex. Even though it was before they went out, she was having a hard time with the fact that he slept with her roommate. Will Trick stick around for a "no sex" relationship? Is this the woman who tames the big bad Navy SEALs heart? I still love the SEALs Undone series! I do wish there was a tiny bit more action or drama and that I could stay in their world for a little bit longer. Gaby is perfect for Trick. She didn't take any crap and she made him wait until she was free and clear of any issues from his past. When SEALs fall, they fall hard! I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

Fall Away is the story of Patrick, or Trick, and Gaby. This is not one of my more favorite books in the SEALs Undone series. While this story focuses on the development of Trick and Gaby's relationship, as all of them do, it doesn't seem to have much more of to the storyline. Trick is struggling with what appears to be PTSD, but it's barely touched on and it doesn't seem very significant. There was little to no strife between the couple throughout the development of their relationship, except for Gaby's struggle with knowing Trick was "with" her roommate. She uses that as the excuse to not have "sex", but honestly, all they don't have is intercourse - they do everything else, so it seems a bit of a contrived stressor. I did enjoy how Trick come through at the end with Gaby.
